Domestic electrical installation in South Croydon for new circuits, extensions, kitchens, bathrooms and loft conversions. We plan the layout with you, then fit, test and certify everything, with a free quote first.

It's much easier to get the layout right before plastering than to add things later. Think about where furniture, the TV, desks and kitchen appliances will go, and where you'll want to switch lights on and off. We mark positions with you so nothing gets missed.
Kitchens need dedicated circuits for cookers and ovens, and bathrooms have zones that limit which fittings can go where. Extensions and loft conversions usually need new circuits from the consumer unit, which may need upgrading if it has no spare ways or no RCD protection.
In England, new circuits, consumer unit changes and work in some special locations are notifiable under Part P of the Building Regulations. Registered electricians can self-certify this work, so you don't need a separate building control application for the electrics, and you still get the certificate.
We visit to look at the space, check your consumer unit and earthing, and agree the layout with you or your builder. You then get a free quote that sets out the circuits, sockets, switches and lights included, so it's clear what you're paying for.
First fix happens before plastering, when cables and back boxes go in. Once the walls are finished, we return to fit the faceplates and fittings, connect to the consumer unit and test every circuit. You receive an Electrical Installation Certificate for the new work.
Call or send a message about the job. For urgent faults we aim to respond the same day, with no call-out charge.
An electrician comes out, checks the job and talks you through the options, then you get a free, no-obligation quote.
When the work is finished, we test everything we've worked on and hand over the right certificate for the job.
As early as possible, ideally once the plans are agreed and before the builder closes up the walls. The first fix wiring needs to go in before plastering, so getting the timing right with your builder avoids chasing finished walls later. We can talk to your builder directly.
Not always. If your consumer unit has spare ways, RCD protection and is in good condition, new circuits can often be added to it. If it's old, full or lacks RCDs, an upgrade may be needed. We check this during the visit and include it in your quote.
It depends on whether the walls are open. In a renovation, cables go in before plastering with little extra mess. In a finished room, we may need to chase walls or lift floorboards, which means some dust and making good afterwards. We keep it to the minimum the job needs.
Yes. Outdoor sockets and lights can often be added at the same time as indoor work, which saves a separate visit. Outdoor fittings need to be weatherproof and protected by an RCD, and we'll plan cable routes that keep digging and drilling to a minimum.
