Lighting installation in South Croydon for new circuits, extra lights, switches and dimmers in homes and businesses. We help you plan the layout, then fit, test and certify the work, with a free quote first.

Most rooms work best with more than one type of light. General lighting fills the room, task lighting covers worktops, desks and mirrors, and accent lighting adds warmth or picks out shelves and pictures. Putting each on its own switch or dimmer lets you change the mood easily.
Think about how you move through the house. Two-way switching at the top and bottom of stairs, or at both ends of a long room, saves walking in the dark. Switches by the door you use most, and dimmers in living spaces, make lighting easier to live with.
Adding lights to an existing circuit is often simple. A new lighting circuit, or some work in bathrooms, is notifiable under Part P. Either way, the work should be tested, and you'll receive the right certificate showing it meets the wiring regulations.
We visit to talk through how you use each room, what fittings you like and where switches should go. We check the existing lighting circuits and the route for new cables, then give you a free quote that lists every light and switch included.
On installation day, we run the cables, fit the switches and connect the fittings, keeping disturbance to ceilings and walls as small as we can. Every circuit is tested before we leave, and you get a certificate for the new work.
Call or send a message about the job. For urgent faults we aim to respond the same day, with no call-out charge.
An electrician comes out, checks the job and talks you through the options, then you get a free, no-obligation quote.
When the work is finished, we test everything we've worked on and hand over the right certificate for the job.
Usually, yes. We can run a new cable from a nearby lighting circuit through the ceiling void or from the floor above, and fit a switch by the door. In flats with solid concrete ceilings, wall lights or surface cable routes may be the neater option.
There's no set number. A kitchen usually needs even general light across the room, plus task lighting over worktops and the hob so you're not working in your own shadow. Under-cabinet lights help a lot. We plan the layout around the size and shape of your kitchen.
Not always. Older dimmers were designed for filament bulbs and can make LEDs flicker, buzz or not dim smoothly. Replacing the dimmer with an LED-compatible one, and using dimmable bulbs, usually solves it. We can check what you have and recommend a match.
Yes, and it's the best time to do it. With ceilings and walls open, we can fit downlights, pendants and under-cabinet lights with very little extra mess. Let us know when your kitchen fitter's schedule is set, so the wiring goes in at the right stage.
We install lighting throughout these areas, with local pages for several. Choose yours.
Send us a few photos of the room and the style of light you like, and we'll quote for free.
