Garden lighting installation in South Croydon for paths, patios, steps, trees and driveways. We plan the lights with you, use outdoor-rated fittings and cable, and add timers or sensors, with a free quote first.

Path and step lights make walking safer after dark, uplights pick out trees and walls, and wall lights brighten patios and doors. Festoon or string lights add a softer feel for summer evenings. Most gardens look best with a few types used together rather than one bright floodlight.
Mains garden lights are bright and suit walls and driveways, but need armoured or protected cable and RCD protection. Low voltage systems run from a transformer, so the cable to each light carries a much safer 12V or 24V. We often combine the two in one garden.
Garden lights can come on at dusk with a photocell, run on a timer or be controlled from your phone. Separate switches for different areas let you light the patio without lighting the whole garden. A switch or control indoors saves going outside to turn lights off.
We walk the garden with you, ideally late in the day, to see where light is needed and where it would look best. We plan cable routes along borders, walls and fences to keep digging down, then give you a free quote listing every light, switch and control.
We run the supply from the house, lay and protect the cables, fit the lights and set up any timers or sensors. Everything is tested, including the RCD protection, and we check the lights together after dark if you'd like. You receive the certificate for the work.
Call or send a message about the job. For urgent faults we aim to respond the same day, with no call-out charge.
An electrician comes out, checks the job and talks you through the options, then you get a free, no-obligation quote.
When the work is finished, we test everything we've worked on and hand over the right certificate for the job.
Not always. A few lights can sometimes be added to an existing circuit if it's suitable and has RCD protection. Larger schemes usually get a dedicated circuit from the consumer unit, which is notifiable work. We check what you have and recommend the safest setup.
It shouldn't if it's planned well. We angle lights down and away from neighbouring windows, choose warm, low-glare fittings and avoid bright floodlights where softer lighting will do. Timers also make sure lights aren't left on through the night when nobody is using the garden.
Yes. Cables can often run along the edge of the patio, under coping or through walls rather than lifting paving. Where a cable does need to cross the patio, a small channel can be cut and repaired. We'll show you the route before starting.
They're fine for small markers, but they're usually dim and fade in winter when you need light most. Wired lights are brighter, more reliable and last much longer. Many people use wired lighting for paths and seating areas and solar for decoration.
We light gardens across the areas listed below. Choose yours to find out more.
